Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

If you're sick, supporting someone else or trying to arrange a last-minute leave, fitting in a practitioner visit can quickly feel intimidating. Extended wait times, busy days and a requirement for quick documentation often mean a traditional GP visit isn't practical when you just need a certificate for work or study. MediLeave offers a simple, reliable solution by connecting you with a qualified doctor online through a secure platform. We offer fast access to everyday, non-emergency telehealth support and medical documentation. Using telehealth, you can remotely connect with a healthcare professional to talk about your situation, receive guidance and get compliant medical documentation without having to rearrange your day or leave your home. This approach is particularly helpful for those in rural or remote areas, individuals with mobility challenges, or anyone balancing work, study and family responsibilities. It's simple to get care whether you're at home, at work or out and about anywhere in Australia with our platform. Because all practitioners are also Australian-registered and follow AHPRA and RACGP guidelines, you can rest assured that your care and documentation meet recognised Australian standards. With our support, you can manage your health needs quickly and with confidence, so if you've been reading up on "Online Pill Prescription", we're within your reach.
We designed our intuitive platform to work smoothly with you, not create unnecessary holdups. Access to experienced doctors, pharmacists and nurses is within reach, with telehealth consultations providing a straightforward alternative to in-person appointments. If you need a quick but dependable way to manage common healthcare needs, you can speak with a practitioner about concerns like contraception, gastro issues, or dental and ear infections from your home. For those times when you need medical certificates that match workplace, school or university requirements, MediLeave can also provide documentation that's easy to access and backed by a 100% money back guarantee if not approved. Online prescriptions and repeat scripts can even be requested to remove the need for long wait times, with these eScripts sent directly to your phone for use at any pharmacy. By putting you in touch with an online doctor who can review your plans, our platform also gives you access to travel health advice. This means you can receive tailored medical advice on disease prevention or vaccine eScripts for diseases you may encounter while travelling. This comprehensive approach also works when you're discovering more information about "Online Consultation Prescription" or when you have questions related to "Online Doctor Consultation Prescription".
At MediLeave, accessing routine healthcare is hassle-free, easy and quick. Thanks to an intuitive interface, the platform is user-friendly, even for those using it for the first time. You can send your request online whenever suits you, and same-day appointments are available without needing to book an appointment or visit a clinic. After the submission, a qualified Australian practitioner reviews your information and evaluates your situation. Your prescription or consultation outcome will be sent digitally to your email or as an SMS to your phone if approved. On this platform, you remain in full control, with medical certificate requests available 24/7 and issued swiftly within an hour on average. MediLeave knows your privacy is no small matter, so we use secure 256-bit bank-grade encryption and make sure doctor consults are confidential in line with Australian privacy rules. We use flat-rate pricing as well, and there are no additional fees for after-hours or weekend care. This service is intended for everyday, non-emergency care; if you have an urgent healthcare concern, go to your nearest emergency department or phone 000. If you have questions about "Cambodia Travel Vaccinations", "Travel Vaccines For India" or a related topic, support is available. Whether you've been curious about "electronic prescription service" or "medical certificate online 2 days", connect to a doctor online now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
