Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

When health needs or caring duties suddenly become a concern, you need a service that bends to your life, not the other way round. Many people know how hard it can be to find time for a clinic visit when work, study or family responsibilities cannot be put on hold, and waiting rooms only add to the pressure. If you face mobility challenges or live outside a major city, these barriers can feel even worse. At MediLeave, we designed our telehealth platform to help Australians access professional care with less hassle. Our telehealth allows you to consult a doctor online or another healthcare practitioner remotely to assess symptoms and discuss appropriate treatment options without attending an in-person appointment. It's possible to connect with an Australian-registered practitioner online for compliant, non-emergency, and everyday medical documentation or advice without changing your schedule or travelling across town. We're focused on taking away unnecessary hurdles so you can access support with the confidence that your request will be treated professionally and aligned with RACGP and AHPRA standards. We have a service that's notably helpful when you're seeking reassurance that your documentation and consultations are high-quality and compliant with the standards of the Australian Medical Board. So, whether you're looking up "Get Prescription" or "Get My Prescription Filled Online", we help make it simpler and more dependable to access care.
Occasionally, you just need medical documents processed fast so they do not get in the way of your schedule. Without physically visiting a clinic, you can request online medical certificates for work, school, university or leave requirements through our services. Certificates are prepared to meet institutional and workplace expectations, as all requests are reviewed by a qualified expert. For added peace of mind, we provide a 100% money back guarantee if the practitioner is unable to approve your request for any reason. Alongside this core offering, we also offer access to telehealth consultations with experienced doctors, pharmacists and nurses via phone or video. Practitioners can offer everyday support when it comes to common health matters, such as acid reflux and heartburn, UTIs, hair loss treatment, and skin conditions and rashes, while also providing referrals and general health advice. If you're eligible, you may also request online prescriptions through a simple process, with eScripts sent directly to your phone within minutes for use at your chosen pharmacy. Our approach is designed to assist those who need to handle non-urgent healthcare demands efficiently, particularly when looking into "Get My Prescription Filled Online". So, if you're curious about "Get My Script Online" or "Get My Prescription Refilled Online", our platform helps you stay organised, supported and ready to face what's next with greater convenience.
Our team has ensured that our platform is designed for quick, reliable access, so you avoid having to book a traditional appointment or go to a clinic since you can simply submit your request online any time. A qualified Australian practitioner will review your details and issue your certificate, prescription or consultation outcome digitally if approved, delivered via email or SMS directly to your phone. You can request medical certificates any time, and they are processed in only 60 minutes on average, helping you manage when and how you access support. Likewise, we offer same-day telehealth appointments from 7am to 11pm AEST, 7 days a week, and there are no extra charges for after-hours or weekend bookings. You can also stay focused on your health since personal and medical information is kept protected with 256-bit bank-grade encryption. On top of this, help is available by phone or email if you need it, such as when you have questions about "Prescriptions Australia" or "Check Std". The same level of convenience applies when you have general enquiries related to "medical certificate for sick leave" or "best online doctor australia"; however, remember that our platform isn't designed for urgent healthcare needs, and for such emergencies, you should go to your nearest emergency department or call 000. For everyday concerns, schedule a telehealth consult now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
