Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

It can be difficult to make an in-person appointment due to long wait times, travel-related hassles and tight schedules, especially when you need timely documentation to support work or study requirements. On top of these challenges, many people feel unsure about whether speaking to a doctor online is secure, whether documents will be accepted or if requests will be met quickly enough to matter. Another worry is privacy, with many users wanting to avoid sharing unnecessary personal health details. MediLeave provides a clear solution by linking Australians with qualified clinicians via a secure telehealth platform. We aim to simplify access to non-emergency care and compliant medical documentation. We're an Australian-based service that bridges the gap between convenience and credible healthcare, allowing you to consult a clinician from wherever you are, whether at home, at work or on the go. This approach is especially helpful for those in rural or remote areas, individuals with mobility challenges, or anyone managing a busy routine and researching "Citalopram Prescription Online" or "Amoxicillin Script Online". With Australian-registered practitioners and doctors operating in line with RACGP and AHPRA standards, you can feel confident that the care and documentation provided are professional, reliable and recognised nationwide.
MediLeave makes it easy and reliable to manage everyday healthcare needs without the inconvenience of visiting a clinic. Many people are looking for a quick solution when they need a medical certificate, want to speak with a doctor or require a prescription, and delays can make an already stressful situation harder. Our platform provides a range of services, including a way to request medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave, using a standard format that meets institutional requirements. You can also connect with experienced doctors, nurses and pharmacists through telehealth consultations, which are available via phone or video. You gain access to support from clinicians for common concerns, including acid reflux, flu symptoms, yeast infections and hayfever, so you stay assisted and informed. For added convenience, you may request new or repeat online prescriptions and receive them directly on your phone, ready for use at your local pharmacy. Plus, if you're going on a trip, you can connect with a doctor to get travel health advice, as well as vaccine eScripts for malaria and yellow fever prevention and many more tailored for your destination all sent to your phone. Through fast access to professional care, we help you handle your health needs with ease and confidence, making it hassle-free to look up "Citalopram Prescription Online", "E Scripts Australia" or "Easy Scripts Online".
MediLeave is set up to make the care or documentation you need simple to arrange, fast to access and easy to understand. You can submit your request online at any time without needing to book an appointment or visit a clinic in person. Once it has been lodged, a qualified Australian clinician will review your details and consider your situation carefully. If approved, your medical certificate, prescription or consultation outcome is then delivered digitally via email or SMS directly to your phone. Medical certificate requests are managed quickly, often within only 60 minutes. Plus, from 7am to 11pm AEST, you can access same-day telehealth consultations, with no extra costs after hours or on weekends, and you can join the queue to speak to a doctor as availability opens up. It's important to note that, as this service is meant for non-emergency needs, anyone with urgent healthcare concerns should go to their nearest emergency department or call 000. For any questions about "telehealth brisbane" or "online prescriptions qld", you can reach us via phone or email, and we'll be happy to help. At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
