How do eScripts work?

Getting your medication has never been easier. Here’s how our digital prescription system works.

Receive Your eScript

Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.

1

Show at Any Pharmacy

Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.

2

Benefits of using eScripts

Reduce Medication Mistakes

Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.

Never Lose a Script

No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.

Instant Telehealth Delivery

Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.

Environmentally Friendly

Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

Learn more about Contraception Subscription

We recognise that it can be stressful when you're dealing with illness or caring responsibilities or need to organise leave unexpectedly, especially if you're juggling work, school and family duties. If your schedule is tight, waiting in a clinic or arranging a face-to-face GP consult can be impractical, particularly when quick documentation is required. MediLeave is here to make the search easier: our platform is designed for Australians who value credibility and speed, offering a practical way to access everyday, non-urgent telehealth care and connect with a doctor online without disrupting your schedule. With this, there's no need for an in-person clinic visit to confirm you can't work or require time off. We provide convenient access to Australian-registered practitioners and doctors operating in line with RACGP and AHPRA standards. This helps ensure the documentation and care you are given follow recognised Australian healthcare guidelines. Whether you're at home, at work or on the go across Australia, you can get reliable and accessible care that easily fits around your daily life. So, if you've been scouring the web for "Slinda Online Prescription" or "Contraception Subscription", we're here to help.

When organising medical documentation for work, study or carer's leave, finding a quick and dependable service is important. As such, MediLeave makes it simple to request certified online medical certificates, sometimes called doctor's certificates or sick notes, in a format designed to meet workplace and institutional expectations. If the practitioner does not approve your request, we have a 100% money back guarantee, so you're reassured that you have protection from financial risk. For times when you need more support beyond documents, our platform also provides access to telehealth consultations with doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Practitioners can assist with common concerns, such as rashes, UTIs, headaches and erectile dysfunction. Plus, they can assist when you require referrals or travel health guidance. If required, you may even request online prescriptions, including new or repeat scripts, with eScripts sent directly to your phone for collection at a pharmacy. No matter if you've been searching for "Contraception Subscription" or want to learn more about options related to "Egypt Travel Vaccinations" or "Biochemistry Bilirubin Blood Test", we focus on making day-to-day healthcare needs simple, fast and reliable for you.

Our clear, upfront pricing and simple digital process make it easy to sort your documentation needs. The platform helps you move from start to finish with minimal friction, thanks to the straightforward and intuitive design, so even new users and repeat visitors can rely on a stress-free process. You can easily submit your request online when it suits your schedule, skipping the hassle of clinic visits, and an Australian practitioner or doctor will review your information. Once your request is approved, whether it's a prescription, medical certificate or consultation outcome, we securely send the documents by email or SMS, so you can access them on your phone. We charge a single flat fee with no hidden costs or extra charges, no matter if you book after-hours or on a weekend. User support is also available by email or phone if you need help along the way, including guidance on "Online Prescription Drugstore", "Online Repeat Prescription Service" and other related topics. We use 256-bit bank-grade encryption to protect your information, so your privacy is never compromised, even when you're enquiring about "medical certificate for work", "instant scripts online" or something else. Since MediLeave is only for everyday, non-emergency healthcare, you should go directly to the nearest emergency department or call 000 if you require urgent attention. Contact a doctor now.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our telehealth services

At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.

A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.

When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.

It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.

If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.

Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:

  • a visitor
  • an international student
  • not eligible for Medicare

Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.

Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.

At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.

To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.

For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.

If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.

Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.

Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.

Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.

At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.

There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.

1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.

2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).

3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.

4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.

Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.

Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.

Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.

Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
