Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

If you're sick, supporting someone else or trying to arrange a last-minute leave, fitting in a clinician visit can quickly feel intimidating. Especially when you just need a certificate for work or study, long waits, packed schedules and the need for quick documentation frequently make a traditional GP visit impractical. MediLeave offers a simple, reliable solution by connecting you with a qualified doctor online through a secure platform. We give you swift access to non-emergency telehealth support and medical documentation. Using telehealth, you can talk with a healthcare professional remotely to explain your situation, get advice and receive compliant medical documentation without leaving home or rearranging your day. This option can be particularly beneficial for people living in rural or remote areas, those with mobility limitations, or individuals balancing work, study and family duties. Our platform helps make it easy to access care from home, at work or when you're on the go. All clinicians are also Australian-registered and follow AHPRA and RACGP guidelines, so you can feel confident that your care and documentation meet recognised Australian standards. With our support, you can manage your health needs quickly and with confidence, so if you've been reading up on "E Scription", we're within your reach.
With MediLeave, you can manage routine healthcare needs simply and reliably without dealing with the stress of in-person appointments. Many people want a quick way to get a telehealth certificate, consult a doctor or secure a prescription, particularly when the schedule is tight and paperwork is needed fast. Through us, you can access a variety of essential services, which include medical certificates, carer's certificates, telehealth consultations, prescriptions and referrals. Medical certificates are issued in a format designed to meet workplace and university requirements, helping validate your absence. These come with a 100% money back guarantee if a clinician declines to approve your request. Through telehealth consultations, you can connect with experienced doctors, pharmacists or nurses via phone or video call, making it more accessible to receive treatment for common concerns like cold and flu symptoms, skin conditions or migraines and even get travel health advice. You can also request online prescriptions, also referred to as eScripts, for new or repeat medications, which are sent to your phone and ready to use at a pharmacy. So, if you're searching for "After Hours Doctors Mildura" or "Online Trt Prescription", we can help you take control of your healthcare quickly and efficiently.
Accessing everyday healthcare at MediLeave is straightforward, speedy and stress-free. Thanks to an intuitive interface, the platform is user-friendly, even for those using it for the first time. You can send your request online whenever suits you, and same-day appointments are available without needing to book an appointment or visit a clinic. Once you've submitted it, a qualified Australian clinician reviews your information and conducts an assessment of your situation. Your medical certificate, prescription or consultation outcome will be sent digitally to your email or as an SMS to your phone if approved. On this platform, you remain in full control, with medical certificate requests available 24/7 and issued swiftly within an hour on average. At MediLeave, we take privacy seriously, using secure 256-bit bank-grade encryption and ensuring doctor consults are private and meet Australian privacy laws. Also, we offer flat-fee pricing with no extra charges for after-hours or weekend requests. This service is intended for non-emergency care; if you have an urgent healthcare concern, go to your nearest emergency department or phone 000. If you have questions about "After Hours Doctors Hobart", "After Hours Doctor Mackay" or a related topic, support is available. Whether you've been curious about "compulsory vaccinations for travel" or "doctor after hours", connect to a doctor online now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
