Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

The last thing you need, when you're unwell or caring for someone, is stress about getting the right documentation for study, work or family responsibilities. We know that waiting rooms and traditional clinics can be difficult to reach when your day is packed or when you need to organise leave quickly and discreetly. Finding the time to book an appointment and secure a certificate can also feel challenging with time constraints and looming deadlines. For these scenarios, MediLeave, an Australian telehealth platform, is designed to provide compliant healthcare documentation and support in a dependable and straightforward way. Every practitioner you connect with through us is Australian-registered and operates under RACGP and AHPRA standards, so your care and documentation follow the guidelines that employers and institutions recognise. No matter where you are, our priority is delivering affordable and professional healthcare. Even if you're in a rural area, dealing with mobility challenges or simply balancing work and family, our platform gives you access to timely consultations with a doctor online. And whether you're researching "Metoclopramide Prescription Online" or "Online Drug Prescription", you'll find clear steps and dependable outcomes here.
For people who need to quickly access documentation or treatment, there's a real difference when they can access a doctor, pharmacist or nurse from wherever they are. MediLeave gives you flexible access to telehealth consultations via phone or video, so you can discuss concerns like cold and flu symptoms, urinary tract infections, or contraception and birth control with experienced practitioners at a time that suits you. That means you won't need to visit a clinic for a face-to-face appointment to ask for clinical advice or treatment guidance. And if you need medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave, we can issue them in a format designed to meet workplace and institutional expectations. You can also request new online prescriptions, repeats or medication adjustments, with eScripts sent to your phone, allowing you to use them at your local pharmacy. For travel plans, our practitioners offer tailored advice on disease prevention, as well as provide prescriptions or vaccine eScripts if needed. Everything is done online, so you stay in control and get what you need with minimal disruption, even while you're looking into "Metoclopramide Prescription Online", "Online Doxycycline Prescription", "Online Doctor Prescription Renewal" and related matters.
With MediLeave, you'll have greater transparency and control throughout every step. Submit your request online when it's convenient, and a qualified Australian practitioner will review your details. If approved, we deliver your medical certificate, prescription or consultation outcome straight to your phone, either by email or SMS. Medical certificate requests can be submitted 24/7, giving more flexibility during busy workdays, evenings or early mornings. We process requests fast, often within only 60 minutes, to help you organise your day with assurance. You can book same-day telehealth consults, offered 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm AEST, with flat-fee pricing and no additional after-hours or weekend service charges. You don't need to keep to inflexible appointment times since you can just join the queue and a doctor will call you during your chosen time slot. Your information is also protected through a secure platform backed by 256-bit bank-grade encryption, while phone and email support is available if questions arise about "Online Doctor Work Injury", "Cialis Prescription Australia" and more. For urgent medical needs, please go to your nearest emergency department or call 000. Whether you've been scouring the web for "online scripts qld" or "online sick certificate", speak to a doctor today.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
