Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

If you're unwell, looking after a family member or trying to arrange urgent leave, it feels like there's never a convenient time to step away for a moment. You can quickly feel pressured for time when sitting at waiting rooms and heading to clinics in person won't fit into your busy schedule. It gets even more stressful when documentation is needed urgently for work, study, family or carer commitments. That's where MediLeave helps, simplifying the extra complexity usually involved in traditional processes. We provide a simple Australian telehealth platform that helps people get the medical documentation and everyday, non-emergency care they require. Through our services, you can connect with a doctor online from home, the office or wherever is most convenient, without needing to rearrange your entire day. We aim to make care easier to access for people who are juggling busy schedules, facing mobility limits, or based in rural and remote areas. We also give you direct access to Australian-registered practitioners and doctors operating in line with RACGP and AHPRA standards. Our approach is designed to be dependable, professional and easy to navigate, helping you feel more confident using telehealth services, so whether you're looking into "Fill Script Online" or "Easy Scripts Online", we help make the process easier for you.
There's a real benefit for people who need timely medical documentation or care when access to a doctor, pharmacist or nurse is available from any location. MediLeave gives you flexible access to telehealth consultations via phone or video, so you can discuss concerns like cold and flu symptoms, urinary tract infections, or contraception and birth control with experienced practitioners at a time that suits you. That means you won't need to visit a clinic for a face-to-face appointment to ask for clinical advice or treatment guidance. And if you need medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave, we can issue them in a format designed to meet workplace and institutional expectations. You can also request new online prescriptions, repeats or medication adjustments, with eScripts sent to your phone, allowing you to use them at your local pharmacy. Whether you need tailored advice on disease prevention or prescriptions or vaccine eScripts for travelling, our practitioners can provide. Everything is done online, so you stay in control and get what you need with minimal disruption, even while you're looking into "Easy Scripts Online", "Fill Your Prescription Online", "Fill My Prescription Online" and related matters.
MediLeave reduces the uncertainty around getting started. You can submit requests online through our platform at any time, and after a qualified Australian practitioner reviews them, approved outcomes are delivered to your phone by email. Users can submit medical certificate requests 24/7, allowing them to do so whenever it best fits their schedule, whether during work hours, in the evening or early in the morning. Requests are usually processed swiftly, usually within only 60 minutes. Same-day telehealth appointments are also available daily from 7am to 11pm AEST, with no additional fees for after hours and weekends. There's no need to book strict appointment times; join the virtual queue, and a doctor will call during your chosen time slot. Our flat-fee pricing shows you the cost ahead of time as well, so there are no unforeseen charges later on. What's more, our secure platform uses 256-bit bank-grade encryption to keep your medical and personal information safe. Please take note that our service is designed exclusively for everyday, non-urgent healthcare needs; for emergency medical care, please contact 000 or proceed to your closest emergency department. If you have questions about "Wagga Gp After Hours Service" or "Blood Test Uec", support is available by phone or email. Book a telehealth consult today and get the service you need, whether you've been curious about "online prescriptions", "blood test referral online" or anything else.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
