Book a time when suits you and connect to an online doctor
Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

MediLeave is here to make the search easier: our platform is designed for Australians who value credibility and speed, offering a practical way to access everyday, non-urgent telehealth care and connect with a doctor online without disrupting your schedule. This approach helps make sure that your care and documentation will meet recognised Australian healthcare guidelines. Whether you're at home, at work or on the go across Australia, you can get reliable and accessible care that easily fits around your daily life. So, if you've been scouring the web for "Repeat Prescription" or "Refill Prescription Online", we're here to help.
When it comes to sorting prescriptions or medication changes, speed and reassurance matter, especially with online prescriptions. MediLeave can help you reach qualified practitioners who review new prescriptions, repeat scripts or minor medication changes through an entirely online process. These online prescriptions, also known as eScripts, are sent to your phone in a matter of minutes and can be used straight away at a pharmacy. Through our platform, you can also access telehealth consultations with experienced doctors, pharmacists and nurses via phone or video for medical advice, treatment guidance or referrals when additional care is required. When you need advice for hair loss, migraine, skin conditions, birth control and similar concerns, our telehealth offers a convenient alternative to in-person visits. You can receive personalised travel health advice from an online doctor, with assessments based on your plans and health needs, guidance on disease prevention and access to online prescriptions or vaccine eScripts. We also offer a simple online process to secure compliant documentation, backed by a 100% money back guarantee if the request is unsuccessful. We're here when you need medical certificates according to Australian medical guidelines and regulatory standards that employers, universities, schools and other institutions recognise. With us, practical healthcare comes to you, so if you're looking up "Refill Prescription Online", "Renew Prescriptions Online" or "Renew Prescription", rest assured that you can count on us.
We made MediLeave so you can put in requests online at any time that works for you, avoiding clinic visits or traditional appointment bookings. We protect your personal and medical information with 256-bit bank-grade encryption, helping keep your details private and secure. Our platform is built to be easy to use, so even people new to telehealth can follow the steps and get clear updates without confusion. When submitted, a qualified Australian practitioner will review your details, and if appropriate, we will deliver your prescription or consultation outcome digitally by email or SMS straight to your phone. Likewise, your medical certificate can be sent to your email. Since we know that time matters, medical certificate requests are accepted 24/7 and are typically processed within minutes to an hour on average. Same-day telehealth consults are also available 7 days a week between 7am and 11pm AEST, with no additional fees for after-hours or weekends. Rather than being in a waiting room or booking an appointment, you can join the queue and receive a call from a doctor during your preferred time slot. Should your concern be urgent or life-threatening, call 000 or head to your nearest emergency department. If you need a hand or have a question about "medical certificate for work" or "instant scripts online", support is available by phone or email. Whether you're looking into "Antibiotic Script Online" or "After Hours Doctors Near Me", speak to a doctor today.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
