Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

When you're feeling under the weather, caring for someone who depends on you or needing to arrange leave at short notice, finding healthcare that works around your job, studies or family commitments can be challenging. Face-to-face visits and waiting rooms often create extra pressure when the main requirement is prompt, appropriate paperwork. People may also hesitate because of time limitations and uncertainty about whether online services are legitimate, recognised by their employer or university and capable of protecting their privacy. This is where MediLeave comes in. Designed for simplicity and accessibility, we are a trusted Australian telehealth platform that provides support without unnecessary complications. Telehealth allows you to consult with a doctor online without needing to attend a face-to-face appointment. We provide direct connections to Australian-registered practitioners practising in line with RACGP and AHPRA standards, helping ensure care meets recognised healthcare standards. Whether you are at home, at work, or out and about, we help you access services in a way that is practical and efficient. Each request is managed with clinical oversight and an unwavering emphasis on professionalism, responsible service delivery and privacy. So, whether you're looking up "Prescription Online Australia" or "Prescription Prices Online", you can rely on us.
Our platform allows you to connect directly with experienced doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Via phone or video consults, you can talk through your specific requirements and raise pertinent questions. This approach gives you the ability to manage everyday health concerns, such as cold and flu symptoms, UTIs or hayfever flare-ups, without waiting for an in-person appointment. Aside from these telehealth consultations, we also have a wider set of online services, including doctor's certificates or sick notes for work, university or carer's leave. To eliminate perceived risks that first-time users may have, we stand behind these with a 100% money back guarantee in case a practitioner does not approve your request. Online prescriptions are also available, and they arrive straight to your phone for use at any pharmacy. For travel-related prevention or treatment, practitioners can even provide tailored health advice and prescriptions. Our platform is designed for speed and efficiency, so you can request medical certificates, get trusted advice through telehealth consultations or handle prescriptions in one place. This approach helps you avoid unnecessary delays, keep your schedule intact and gain professional guidance for your health concerns, whether you were searching for "Prescription Prices Online" or something else entirely. The same level of convenience applies when you want to learn more about "Prescription Telehealth" or "Prescription Australia".
We've designed MediLeave so you can send requests online whenever it's convenient, which means you don't have to arrange a traditional appointment or go to a clinic. Your personal and medical details are kept private using 256-bit bank-grade encryption, which helps keep your information secure. Our platform is designed to be intuitive, so even first-time telehealth users can follow the steps and receive updates without confusion. After submission, a qualified Australian practitioner reviews your information, and if approved, your prescription or consultation outcome is sent digitally by email or SMS directly to your phone. Similarly, we can send you an email for your medical certificate. Time matters, and we understand that, so requests for medical certificates can be submitted 24/7 and are usually processed within minutes to an hour on average. Same-day telehealth consults are also available 7 days a week between 7am and 11pm AEST, with no additional fees for after-hours or weekends. Rather than being in a waiting room or booking an appointment, you can join the queue and receive a call from a doctor during your preferred time slot. For any urgent or life-threatening concerns, call 000 or make your way to the nearest emergency department. If you need a hand or have a question about "blood test referral online" or "medical certificate online 2 days", support is available by phone or email. Whether you're looking into "Telehealth Brisbane" or "Doctor Prescription", speak to a doctor today.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
