Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

If you're feeling unwell, caring for someone or must arrange leave at short notice, you need a simple way to reach quality healthcare services. You can feel pressed for time and unsure about next steps, and we acknowledge that it's stressful to sit in a waiting room or go to in-person appointments just to get documentation. When you want to be confident that the service you choose is legitimate, that your details will stay private and that the outcome is of standard, MediLeave is here to help. Our platform connects you straight to Australian-registered practitioners, so accessing non-emergency, everyday care and compliant documentation is straightforward, reliable and accessible. You can speak to a doctor online remotely to discuss symptoms, get advice or plan the next steps with clear explanations and practical guidance. In addition, our convenient service is designed for people managing busy schedules, remote workers and those with mobility challenges. We simplify and clarify the process, so you're supported wherever you are in Australia, whenever you need a dependable, professional healthcare solution. Every step is designed to save time and money while helping you feel informed, confident and ready, regardless of whether you were trying to learn more about "Online Drug Prescription" or beyond.
When quick, practical medication support matters, we provide a reliable way to request online prescriptions or eScripts without in-person appointments or unnecessary delays. If you're seeking a new script, a repeat prescription or a medication adjustment, the request can be completed entirely online through clear step-by-step prompts reviewed by experienced practitioners. If issued, your online prescription or eScript will be delivered to your phone in a matter of minutes, ready to present at a local pharmacy. This option can be especially helpful for people managing ongoing conditions or responding promptly to concerns such as UTIs, hayfever, migraines or acid reflux. If your needs extend beyond medication, you may receive treatment advice or blood tests and specialist referrals via MediLeave's telehealth consultations with doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Requests for medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave are similarly accessible through the same platform and are designed to meet Australian medical guidelines and regulatory standards that institutions and employers recognise. For added peace of mind, requests not approved are backed by a 100% money back guarantee. Besides that, you can speak to an online doctor who can assess your trip and provide tailored medical guidance on disease prevention and other health matters. With this approach, we can help you manage everyday healthcare needs more confidently, whether you're searching for "Metformin Prescription Online" or "Online Doctor To Get Prescription".
With us, you have a supportive system that puts your privacy and convenience first. Requests can be submitted fully online without needing to arrange a face-to-face consultation. A qualified Australian practitioner examines your request based on the details you submit. If approved, your prescription or MediLeave telehealth outcome arrives digitally, sent directly by email or SMS to your phone for convenient access. Meanwhile, you will receive your medical certificate electronically by email. You remain in control with 24/7 request availability and fast review times, with medical certificates processed within only 60 minutes on average. You can book same-day telehealth appointments 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm AEST, with no extra charges for after-hours or weekends. There's no waiting room or rigid timetable; simply join the queue and a doctor will call you during the time slot you chose. Throughout the process, your information is protected through a secure and private platform backed by 256-bit encryption, so you can ask us about "Required Vaccinations For Travel" or "Herpes Test" knowing your details are safe. We provide support for non-emergency and everyday health concerns only; if you require urgent care, please visit your nearest emergency department or call 000. For any questions about "instant scripts online" or "uti script online", you can contact us by phone or email for assistance. Talk to a doctor now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
