Book a time when suits you and connect to an online doctor
Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

Finding an easy way to access healthcare can feel stressful when someone is unwell, caring for another person or needing to arrange leave quickly. Besides that, many question whether online services are a legitimate way to access care and whether their documents will be received in time. At MediLeave, we help ease those concerns because we provide access to a trusted, non-emergency telehealth solution. We connect users with qualified practitioners online: through telehealth, you can speak with a doctor online to discuss symptoms, receive guidance and obtain appropriate medical documentation without disrupting your day. Making healthcare more accessible and affordable is what we do, with quality care available to you no matter where you are. It is especially helpful for people in rural or remote areas looking up "Medication Prescription" or "Medical Prescription", as well as those with mobility challenges or anyone managing a busy schedule. The fact that all practitioners in our network are Australian-registered and adhere to RACGP and AHPRA standards means you can feel assured that your care and documentation meet recognised Australian guidelines. You will find a service that prioritises affordable care, privacy, professionalism and ease of use when you turn to us.
For people who need to quickly access documentation or treatment, there's a real difference when they can access a doctor, pharmacist or nurse from wherever they are. MediLeave gives you flexible access to telehealth consultations via phone or video, so you can discuss concerns like cold and flu symptoms, urinary tract infections, or contraception and birth control with experienced practitioners at a time that suits you. That means you won't need to visit a clinic for a face-to-face appointment to ask for clinical advice or treatment guidance. And if you need medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave, we can issue them in a format designed to meet workplace and institutional expectations. You can also request new online prescriptions, repeats or medication adjustments, with eScripts sent to your phone, allowing you to use them at your local pharmacy. For those travelling, our practitioners can arrange prescriptions or vaccine eScripts and offer personalised disease-prevention guidance when needed. Everything is done online, so you stay in control and get what you need with minimal disruption, even while you're looking into "Medication Prescription", "Travel To Zanzibar Vaccination", "Metformin Script Online" and related matters.
We've designed every step on our platform for speed and reliability, so you can submit your request online any time without booking a traditional appointment or needing to set foot in a clinic. A qualified Australian practitioner will review your details and issue your certificate, prescription or consultation outcome digitally if approved, delivered via email or SMS directly to your phone. Since we accept medical certificate requests around the clock and process them within only 60 minutes on average, you get to decide when and how to get support. Additionally, we let you access same-day telehealth appointments between 7am and 11pm AEST, 7 days a week, with no additional fees for after-hours or weekends. We protect your personal and medical information with 256-bit bank-grade encryption as well, so you can focus on your health. On top of this, help is available by phone or email if you need it, such as when you have questions about "Colombia Travel Vaccines" or "Travel Injections For India". The same level of convenience applies when you have general enquiries related to "online prescriptions" or "medical certificate for work"; however, remember that our platform isn't designed for urgent healthcare needs, and for such emergencies, you should go to your nearest emergency department or call 000. For everyday concerns, schedule a telehealth consult now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
