Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

You shouldn't have to put your routine or duties on hold, whether you feel unwell, are caring for someone or must arrange leave quickly, just to access healthcare. Our team understands that time pressure often makes the traditional route feel impractical, particularly when you need documentation quickly. You also want to be sure the provider is legitimate and that your documentation is acceptable to your employer or university, but not knowing what to expect can increase stress. So, MediLeave is here to support Australians seeking accessible and professional help for everyday, non-emergency health concerns and compliant medical documentation. You get the trusted support you need on our telehealth platform, as it connects you to Australian-registered practitioners operating in accordance with RACGP and AHPRA standards. We focus on making healthcare more inclusive, removing barriers for people in rural or remote areas, those with mobility limitations or anyone with a demanding schedule who needs to consult a doctor online. Our platform is made to lessen disruption and help you access care that fits around your routine, whether you're at home, at work or on the go anywhere in Australia. With us, you get dependable, efficient support that keeps your needs at the centre, no matter if you're researching "Get Prescription" or other topics.
Rather than slow you down with avoidable delays, our platform is built to keep pace with you seamlessly. Access to experienced doctors, pharmacists and nurses is within reach, with telehealth consultations providing a straightforward alternative to in-person appointments. If you're looking for a fast yet reliable way to manage common healthcare needs, you can consult a practitioner about concerns such as skin conditions and rashes, hair loss treatment, or cold and flu symptoms without leaving home. For those times when you need medical certificates that match workplace, school or university requirements, MediLeave can also provide documentation that's easy to access and backed by a 100% money back guarantee if not approved. Online prescriptions and repeat scripts can even be requested to remove the need for long wait times, with these eScripts sent directly to your phone for use at any pharmacy. Our platform also lets you access travel health advice by connecting you with an online doctor who can assess your plans. This means you can receive tailored medical advice on disease prevention or vaccine eScripts for diseases you may encounter while travelling. This comprehensive approach also works when you're discovering more information about "Get My Prescription Filled Online" or when you have questions related to "Get Pill Prescription Online".
At MediLeave, accessing everyday healthcare is simple, fast and stress-free. The platform is easy to use, even if you're using it for the first time, thanks to its intuitive design. You can submit your request online at any time, and same-day appointments are available without needing to book an appointment or visit a clinic. After you submit, a qualified Australian practitioner looks over your information and evaluates your situation. If approved, your prescription or consultation outcome will be delivered digitally via email or SMS directly to your phone. The platform gives you complete control, as you can request medical certificates 24/7, with requests issued swiftly within an hour on average. At MediLeave, we take privacy seriously, using secure 256-bit bank-grade encryption and ensuring doctor consults are private and meet Australian privacy laws. We also offer flat-fee pricing with no additional fees for after-hours or weekend use. This service is intended for everyday, non-emergency needs; if you have urgent healthcare needs, you should go to your nearest emergency department or call 000. If you have questions about "Online Trt Prescription", "Travel Shots For Vietnam" or a related topic, support is available. Whether you've been curious about "online prescriptions" or "electronic prescription service", connect to a doctor online now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
