Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

When illness, caring duties or sudden leave arise, you usually need a clear way to organise healthcare support that doesn't disrupt work, family or study commitments. Waiting in a reception area or arranging an in-person clinic appointment can feel impractical when documentation is needed immediately. Uncertainty can make you hesitate as well: you want to feel confident that the service or consultation is professional and high-quality, that your certificate will be accepted and that your privacy is respected throughout. Here is where MediLeave shines. We help you save time and money, as we're built for people who value clarity, reliability and convenience. We provide access to everyday, non-emergency telehealth support and compliant medical documentation through Australian-registered practitioners operating in line with RACGP and AHPRA standards, making it easy to connect with a doctor online. Designed for real lives, our platform supports you at home, in the office, or while balancing responsibilities in rural or remote areas. Accessibility and inclusivity remain a priority, supporting individuals with busy schedules, mobility challenges or limited nearby healthcare options to receive care with greater flexibility. So, whether you're searching for "Clarithromycin Prescription Online" or "Beta Blockers Prescription Online", we help make professional support more dependable and available when you need it.
MediLeave provides a straightforward and reliable way to handle everyday healthcare needs without needing to visit a clinic. Many people are looking for a quick solution when they need a medical certificate, want to speak with a doctor or require a prescription, and delays can make an already stressful situation harder. Our platform provides a range of services, including a way to request medical certificates for work, school, university or carer's leave, using a standard format that meets institutional requirements. You can also connect with experienced doctors, nurses and pharmacists through telehealth consultations, which are available via phone or video. Practitioners can assist with common concerns, such as hair loss treatment, UTIs, erectile dysfunction and heartburn, so you feel supported and informed. For added convenience, you may request new or repeat online prescriptions and receive them directly on your phone, ready for use at your local pharmacy. In addition, if you're taking a trip, you can consult a doctor for travel health advice and access vaccine eScripts for preventing malaria and yellow fever and for many other travel-centred needs, all sent directly to your phone. Through fast access to professional care, we help you handle your health needs with ease and confidence, making it hassle-free to look up "Clarithromycin Prescription Online", "Doctor Online For Prescription" or "Antibiotic Script Online Australia".
The care or documentation you need can be accessed through MediLeave in a simple and clear way. You can submit your request online at any time, without booking a traditional appointment or visiting a clinic, making it ideal for busy schedules or after-hours needs. After submission, your information is reviewed by a qualified Australian practitioner who then assesses your situation carefully. If approved, your prescription or consultation outcome will be sent digitally straight to your phone via email or SMS. You can request medical certificates 24/7, with processing times averaging only 60 minutes, and expect to receive it by email. Telehealth consultations are available daily between 7am and 11pm AEST, allowing you to join a queue and speak with a doctor without the need for waiting rooms, so it's easy to search for "Thyroid Test" or "Telehealth Nsw". Safety and transparency are prioritised here as well, with 256-bit bank-grade encryption used to secure your information. Designed for non-emergency use, this service should not be used for urgent healthcare needs; in these cases, visit the nearest emergency department or call 000. If you require assistance, support can be reached through phone or email. Whether you've been interested in "online sick certificate" or "online prescriptions", book a telehealth consult now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
