Instead of handing you a paper script, your doctor sends you a text message or email containing a link to a unique QR code, or token.
Your pharmacist scans the QR code on your phone (or tablet) to retrieve the details of your script and fill your medication.
Digital scripts eliminate errors caused by illegible handwriting, ensuring your pharmacist dispenses exactly what was prescribed.
No need to worry about lost paper. Your script arrives instantly via SMS or email, always accessible on your phone.
Perfect for telehealth consultations. Receive your medication script instantly without needing to visit a clinic in person.
Going digital reduces paper waste, making eScripts a greener choice for you and the planet.

When health needs or caring duties suddenly become a concern, you need a service that bends to your life, not the other way round. Many people know how hard it can be to find time for a clinic visit when work, study or family responsibilities cannot be put on hold, and waiting rooms only add to the pressure. If you face mobility challenges or live outside a major city, these barriers can feel even worse. At MediLeave, we designed our telehealth platform to help Australians access professional care with less hassle. Our telehealth allows you to consult a doctor online or another healthcare practitioner remotely to assess symptoms and discuss appropriate treatment options without attending an in-person appointment. You can contact an Australian-registered practitioner online for compliant, non-emergency, and everyday medical documentation or advice without needing to rearrange your day or travel across town. We work to remove unnecessary hurdles so you can access support with confidence that your request will be managed professionally and according to RACGP and AHPRA standards. Our service is particularly useful when you want reassurance that your documentation and consultations are high-quality and compliant with Australian Medical Board standards. So, whether you're looking up "Aussie Scripts" or "Best Online Ed Prescription", we help make it simpler and more dependable to access care.
When it comes to online prescriptions, we make it simple to request a new script, organise repeats or adjust your current medication through a process that's fully online. You can receive online prescriptions or eScripts (electronic prescriptions) on your phone in a matter of minutes, ready to use at your local pharmacy. If you need to consult a doctor first, you can access telehealth consultations through our platform and speak to experienced Australian practitioners either by phone or video call. If you want assistance regarding contraception, hair loss, skin conditions or ear infections, you can talk to an experienced doctor without needing to leave home and attend an in-clinic appointment. For those needing medical certificates or a carer's certificate, we can connect you with a practitioner who can assess your situation and provide documentation designed to meet Australian medical guidelines and regulatory standards that employers, schools, universities and other institutions acknowledge. You can also reach out for blood tests and referrals to specialists online, as well as tailored travel health advice. MediLeave provides a clear, efficient, patient-centred process rooted in clinical safety, so you can feel in control of your daily health matters. If you're searching for "Best Online Ed Prescription", "Apply For Prescription Online" or "Ask For Prescription Online", we're within reach.
Accessing the care or documentation you need through MediLeave is simple and direct. Requests can be submitted online at any time without booking a traditional appointment or attending a clinic, making it an ideal option for hectic schedules or after-hours situations. A qualified Australian practitioner reviews your submitted information and carefully assesses your situation. If approved, your prescription or consultation outcome will be sent digitally straight to your phone via email or SMS. Typically processed within only 60 minutes on average and sent by email, medical certificate requests can be made 24/7. Telehealth consultations are available daily between 7am and 11pm AEST, allowing you to join a queue and speak with a doctor without the need for waiting rooms, so it's easy to search for "Thyroid Tests" or "After Hours Doctor Hobart". What's more, we place strong importance on safety and transparency by using 256-bit bank-grade encryption to protect your information. This service is intended for non-emergency needs; for urgent healthcare concerns, visit your nearest emergency department or call 000. Should you need help at any point, support is available through phone or email. Whether you've been interested in "uti script online" or "prescriptions online", book a telehealth consult now.
At MediLeave, you can request instant scripts online at any time, as our bookings are available 24/7.
A doctor will review each request to assess the situation and determine whether a prescription or specialist referral online is clinically appropriate, ensuring that care remains safe, responsible and based on individual needs.
When requesting online prescriptions or eScripts in Australia, you will need to provide a few key details, such as your personal information and a short summary of your health concern or request.
It is also a requirement in Australia that, in order to receive an eScript, you must either have a Medicare number or an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI). This is because your identity needs to be verified through the national healthcare system.
If you don’t have either of these, you can still have a telehealth consultation and receive a paper prescription instead.
Getting an IHI is the workaround if you want a digital prescription. You can still apply for an IHI online via myGov using an ID like a passport, even if you’re:
Once you have an IHI, you can use eScripts like anyone else.
Even with access to the best online doctor Australia has to offer, script consultations are conducted privately on a one-on-one basis, ensuring a personal and discreet experience.
At MediLeave, users join a queue and receive a direct call from a doctor, allowing the discussion to remain confidential. All information provided is treated as personal and sensitive health data in line with Australian privacy laws.
To support data protection, we use 256-bit bank grade security and encryption to protect your personal and medical information throughout the consultation process.
For repeat prescriptions, your pharmacist will send you a new QR code after each repeat is dispensed. This happens until all the repeats are complete, so you will need to keep the new message until it’s time to get your medicine again.
If you accidentally delete a message with a QR code you will need to go back to your doctor to ask for a new eScript, just like you would if you lost a paper script.
Yes. Your details and script are kept private and secure through encryption (a secure way of sending information). Your script can only be ‘unlocked’ by a pharmacist.
Our team of Partner Doctors are fully registered Australian doctors who can prescribe any medication that is clinically appropriate for your needs. All our doctors follow AHPRA guidelines to ensure safe and responsible care.
Please note that some medications cannot be prescribed via a telehealth consultation such as S8 medications, controlled substances, narcotics or any controlled drugs and medications requiring close monitoring by a doctor. Our partner doctors reserve the right to decline prescribing any medication or refusing to provide Medical Certificates, based on their professional medical advice.
At MediLeave we uphold the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by our doctors.
There are various reasons why you may be declined access for a prescription, and the doctor has the authority to decline your request if they determine that it is not in your best interest or suitable for your condition. Other reasons could be due to contraindications, your medical history or the absence of a definitive diagnosis. In such circumstances, the doctor will recommend an alternative treatment that is better suited to you or recommend that you seek further assistance and advice in person.
1. First of all, check with the doctor that they have your correct details- a typo on your phone number or email can create this problem. Sometimes there might have been an issue with internet/ wi-fi connection at the moment the eScript was sent, and it might take a few minutes to come through to you.
2. If it still does not arrive, the doctor can double check on their side to see if there was an issue with sending it (this can happen if there is a problem with a person’s Medicare details or “IHI” number (individual health identifier).
3. If the issue still persists the doctor may try to “re-send” it to you, and see if that works.
4. If this still fails, please email our team : info@medileave.com.au for assistance.
Yes, most community pharmacies accept electronic prescriptions (escripts) An eScript is a digital version of a paper script, which the doctor sends you to your phone/email as a QR code or token. Whilst most pharmacies accept and can process escripts, it is best to check with the pharmacy if they are able to accept escripts as some small pharmacies, for example, may not be equipped to process escripts yet.
Yes, if you are a carer or guardian, although the patient needs to provide their consent to the doctor.
Our Partner Doctors cannot prescribe Schedule 8 (S8) or Schedule 4D (S4D) medications via telehealth.
Once the doctor approves your prescription during your consultation, the script is sent instantly via sms or email to you, within minutes
